The Jute Ribbon used here adds wonderful texture to this card.  It's so easy to cut with our Micro-Tip Scissors, and you can splay the ends out like Maggie does here, for an easy, great look!

Want an easy way to highlight eye-catching sections of your stamp images?  Just takes an extra image stamped, a little trimming, and you've got it!

This card was cut with our Cricut cartridge - - including the band that goes around as a closure.  It just doesn't get any easier to make a cute project!  The polka-dotted "Babycakes" paper blends well with the curves on the card design and the Washi Tape.

Love this card!  Hubcaps made with our grey Epoxy Bubbles, and the exhaust is a Small Black Sparkle Flourish!

TERRIFIC TIP TUESDAY 7-15-14 Ribbon Storage

Have you struggled to find just the right thing to store your reels of ribbon?  This is what I’ve found to work best for me.  Can you tell what its original use was????? A VHS tape shelf!

This works perfectly for me, because I wanted something on which the reels could rest securely, yet be easily accessible for me to just grab one and take it to my work table.  I didn’t want to have to detach it each time from a dowel or anything……….

You can often find these types of things at thrift shops or garage sales.  An easy and inexpensive ribbon storage system!

How the heck do we use these great big patterns to make cards?  So fast and easy, is how we do it!

Helping Kids Smile

At our Close To My Heart convention last week, the company offered this special pendant for anyone made a contribution of $30 or more to Operation Smile, while there.  This is one of our new Base & Bling pieces, being featured in our Annual Inspirations 2014-15 catalog (which can have any variety of sentiment/picture put in) - but this quote is a special one they made just for this project.  I love it!

More than $20,000 was raised from consultant contributions, which will fund 86 surgeries to correct cleft palate deformities for children all over the world.  Isn't that fantastic?

In addition to this project, a 5k run was held, with runners and walkers donating $30 to participate.  The path was through California Adventure, I believe.  Over 300 people took part, and 22 surgeries were funded!

A live art auction at the end of convention brought in more than $11,000 dollars, funding yet another 46 smiles.  What a great company I work for. :-)
