September Stamp of the Month Art # 7

Art by Maggie Cameron

You'll notice some great little textured polka dots on a couple of this month's cards . . . These come from using one of our great Embossing Folders - Z1924 "Dot."  These folders are just $8.95 and are designed to use with any machine such as the Big Shot or Cuttle Bug.  One FANTASTIC feature of OUR embossing folders is the slit in the folded edge . . . this means you can emboss a long piece of paper by simply running it through your machine once, then just slide the paper through the folder to reposition for a second run through!

September Stamp of the Month Art # 6

Art by Julie Reynolds

This 4 x 4 card uses just the one little flower image, which I fell in love with.  Hanging little pennant strips of BT Duo from the "Pathfinding" paper pack set the perfect framework for them.

September Stamp of the Month Art # 5

Art by Debi Gardner

This card has received rave reviews from my customers so far.  What they love is the idea of stamping this tree directly on a BT Duo.  Such great texture!  The background is subtle enough that it simply provides a soft backdrop for the stamped image.  Can you figure out what paper pack it comes from?

Then, there's the sweet red heart-embossed paper for the base of the card.  Our "Paper Fundamentals" packs provide this fun style of paper that is mono-chromatically embossed on one side, and flat-print patterend on the reverse.  Can you see why she chose the heart paper for this?

September Stamp of the Month Art # 4

Art by Kimberly Ganiere

While the "Pathfinding" papers are used again here,  just look how different the color combination is!  By bringing out the greens, blues and browns......... a totally different feel is introduced.

TERRIFIC TIP TUESDAY 9-9-14 Torn Paper Edge

Featuring Close To My Heart's "Ariana" paper packet. See more 4/1/14 blog post: www.CreateWithJulie.blogspot.com

One of the coolest things about Close To My Heart's exclusive papers is the white core.  This is true of both our BT Duos (patterned papers) and our solid cardstocks. By tearing the paper, this exposes that white core for a great shabby chic look.

To have the white edge appear, tear the paper, pulling it toward you.  If you'd prefer that the white core not show, just tear the paper by pulling it away from you.  Simple as that!

The other tip I have for you is to tear off a width of at least 1/4".  If you try to tear less than that, it really makes it more tedious and difficult.  So when you cut your paper to size, cut it 1/4" wider than you want it to be after the tearing.

No BT Duo on this card!  The background is provided by the cute little flower stamp in this month's set.  A creative combination of reds and pinks come together for a cheerful look.

September Stamp of the Month Art # 2

Art by Becky Mackenstadt

"Pathfinding" is the paper used here, bordered at the bottom with our Brown Glitter Paper. (The hearts, too!)   I love how Becky stamped the "sweet moments" right over the trunk of the tree . . . I need to remember that stamps don't always need their very own space.  Sometimes layering is better!

September Stamp of the Month Art # 1

Art by Leslie Ann Chivers

The bold strokes of the "Brushed" papers here are complemented nicely by the font in used in this set.  Some bitty sparkles are layered on the LOVE design for a sweet addition.
