This is such creative stamping! Again, one image is used twice, but with the addition of part of the same stamp again right in the middle to create this butterfly. Look at the stamp set on the right of this blog and see if you can figure out which image was used :-) Antennae are added with hemp, and brads are added to allude to the butterfly's body. Stamping just gives you so many ways to be creative!

Kraft Color-Ready Borders

We had such fun last night at our monthly Layout Workshop, when we used the new Kraft Color-Ready Borders as a finishing touch. Each person placing an order last night made sure to add a pack to her list! Watch this video for some great ideas for using this new product.

Do you love this "aged" look? Antiquing such as this is easy to do! Just pick a color from paper that is used on the card (in this case, Autumn Terracotta - from our "Olivia" paper) and use the coordinating ink pad. Gently brush the paper with the edge of your ink pad to create this "ink distressed" look.

February SOTM Art #2

Art by Julie Reynolds

Decorative images such as the one featured here make wonderful "background" looks. Here, the fleur image is stamped in 2nd generation Juniper ink, and then the sentiment is stamped over the top in Cocoa. Texture is added by scissor distressing cardstock edges. A cardstock band wraps around the entire card. Slide it off the top or bottom to open.

February SOTM Art #1

How creative is this? Here, a single image is stamped twice in reverse, to create an elegant design. It is embossed, and then sponged with ink over top to make the soft background.
