Artbooking Cricut Cartridge in Action

Close To My Heart's Artbooking Cartridge got a LOT of use at my Spring Retreat this weekend.  It was so much fun to teach people how to use this cartridge to easily create a full layout quickly and easily, using the designs as they are featured.  And ALSO - so much fun to see the amazement on faces as they discovered how they could use "Real Dial Size" (our new best friend!) to customize the layout features to whatever size they wanted, for whatever page, card, or papercrafting item they were making!  The fun just doesn't end.....

March Stamp of the Month Art # 8

Art by Sue Morse

Isn't this beautiful?  Here Sue stamps the doll images multiple times on colored cardstock, in order to cut out and piece together for a rich look.  Ariana papers make a lovely, soft backdrop.

March Stamp of the Month Art # 6

Art by Tina Dupin

The Pear overlay here, created by our Cricut Artbooking cartridge, makes a beautiful lattice look against the black card.  It's all wrapped up, then, with our Black Metallic Baker's Twine.

March Stamp of the Month Art # 5

Art by Shannon Law

Shannon also uses "Babycakes" papers here - but with a completely different result.  Bronze Shimmer Trim adds some shine, and Shannon cleverly used the "Like Mother Like Daugher" image to create the scalloped border behind the doll.  Stamping the doll a second time on Sunset cardstock gave her the heart to cut out and layer.  Pretty darned cute!

March Stamp of the Month Art # 4

Art by Maggie Cameron

Maggie chose embellishments that I also love to use with our "Babycakes" papers.  The ProPlayer Assortment provides the adhesive-backed enamel badge button, just right for tying in the round, polka-dot look.  The Slate Striped Twist Tie is a fun way to add a textured pennant.

March Stamp of the Month Art # 3

Art by Julie Reynolds

Those who know me well know that I love a good monochromatic card every now and then!  I used Indian Corn Blue cardstock and ink to accent this Daisy card.  To bring some life to its simplicity, I raised the large doll with 3D Foam Tape, and did the same thing again with the smaller doll.
