May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 11

Art by Cathy Stai

"Bliss" is the featured paper on this card. This "out of the box" thinking uses a chair image stamped twice to frame the "Home Sweet Home." Add a couple of brads to embellish, and it's done!

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 10

Art by Chris Green

Not only can our background texture papers be used for wallpaper, but our ribbons can be used for baseboard trim! The possibilities just never end . . . And what a creative way to "hang" the Home Sweet Home picture . . . a little Waxy Flax and a brad do the trick!

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 8

Art by Amanda DesJardins

A doily and some paper lace add to the "Sweetheart" pinks of this card, making a delightfully feminine presentation. Does everything need to stop at the edge of the card? This design answers with with a confident "No!" :-) The white grosgrain ribbon floats right off the side of the card to invite you to open . . .

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 7

Art by Darlis Recker

The chair and picture frame in this card are both cardstock, textured with ink. The piercing tool was used to accentuate the "buttons" on the chair back, and Bitty Brads are on the arms of the chair. What a great look!

This card combines different stamp sets, paper themes and techniques to bring a wonderfully eclectic look! Brights and pastels . . . delicate and bold . . . staples, ribbon and stitching. How fun is that?

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 4

Art by Shannon Law

"Creative Basics - Wings" papers are used here to provide great pattern for the top and side borders. Shannon stamped the chair twice; once on Juniper cardstock and once on Colonial White cardstock. Then the patterned piece is cut out with an exacto knife (I LOVE ours - it feels so secure and safe to work with!) and then placed on top of the Juniper chair (also cut out with exacto knife.) Easiest reupholstering you'll ever do! :-)

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 3

Art by Kris Keys

Do you feel like you've opened a door and walked right INTO this card???? Just the right angles cut here give you a solid impression of a three-dimensional room! Upholstery, wallpaper, a rug, a pillow . . . who knew our background texture papers could be so versatile?

MYSTERY QUESTION OF THE MONTH: There is no "table & lamp" image in this set . . . so where does it come from???? Email me your answer to be entered in this month's drawing for a very special prize! Clue: Part it comes from the Stamp of the Month, and part of it comes from a different set on Page 85 of the Spring/Summer Idea Book! What are the parts????

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 2

Art by Tina Dupin

This 5 x 7 card is all about circles and soft curves! The focal point is the chair; a nice soft, rounded upholstered friend that just invites you to sit down and snuggle in! And those same characteristics are repeated throughout the design of the card. Notice the circle on which the chair is mounted, and also the two circles up top. Even the curlicues on the heart accents carry the theme of "curve." The strong striped section on the left border gives great contrast and balance to the soft, round theme.

May Stamp of the Month Artwork - 1

Art by Julie Reynolds

May's Stamp of the Month set, "Chairs To You" is so unique! Six different chair images, six sentiments and two small accent images. "What could I do with chairs?" you ask? Well . . . just keep checking back through the month to see lots of amazingly creative ways to use this set!

On this card, I used a 3D foam square to lift the one red chair -emphasizing the "one of a kind friend."
