April Stamp of the Month Art #6

Clean and crisp! That's the look of this artwork. The paper piecing on the top section of this card provides a nice backdrop for a strong focal point image. The branch's leaves are softly colored in watercolor style, and a sparkle adds just the right life to the bird's eye. The same bird in a different pose adds a beautiful accent to the lower left of the card.

Color coordinating is made so easy with Close To My Heart products. Each paper pack features colors that are available in coordinating inks, so it's a breeze to make a card whose colors absolutely flow. This little butterfly addition catches the eye when stamped on a punched circle - accentuating the curves in the focal point floral image.

Our "Miracle" papers are featured beautifully in this card. The little butterfly is mounted with 3-D Foam Tape, giving it the perfect look for flight. A finishing touch is provided by a sweet little button - just the right touch!

This soft watercolor look is created by embossing the outline image, and then sponging color over the top in a resist technique. Then just cut the image into smaller pieces to make the tiles. Add a little butterfly stamped in the background, embellish with our Colonial White Collection ribbon, and you're finished!

April Stamp of the Month Art #1

Want to create your own background paper? Just try using your focal point image and repeating it abstractly on solid cardstock in the background, as shown here. I love the way the pearls accentuate the soft curve of the circle in this design.
