Flower Pot Card Workshop

Here it is! The cute little Flower Pot Card* that we'll be making at the July 22 Workshops. It fits nicely in a standard sized envelope. This class is set for 2 times on a Thursday. If there are enough of you that would prefer a weekend time, let me know, and we'll get one scheduled, as well!

June Stamp of the Month Art - 4

This simple design takes our BT Duos from being a mere background to being nearly a focal point! Just cut strips of our coordinating papers from the "Passages" Level 2 paper pack, and arrange them vertically to create a terrific base for this card. Notice how the edges of the striped vertical strips are lightly inked to enhance their margins? A little folded tab of the same striped paper adds dimension when attached with a brad, to the right of the sentiment.

June Stamp of the Month Art - 3

This card combines the necktie stamp and the 'my friend . . hero' stamp. Would you have thought to use the tie as a background? Note the brad that is in the corner of the overlay piece. It pleases the eye because it repeats the pattern used in the BT Duo above!

June Stamp of the Month Art - 2

This cute little square card is given lots of texture with the sanding technique. Since Close To My Heart's cardstock has a white core, this technique is especially striking. Sand a little . . . sand a lot! You can determine the extent of distressing by selecting which side of our sanding block you use . . . and by the pressure you apply. Start with a little and add more; it's easier to increase the distressed look than it is to reverse it! :-)

June Stamp of the Month Art

This stamp set is designed especially for "Dad" - although, as you'll see in some upcoming artwork, it can be used very differently, as well.
This card features the necktie image for the traditional Father's Day card or card for Dad's birthday. (Both my Dad and my husband have June birthdays, so it's a quadruple whammy!) Stamping on colored cardstock is an easy way to fill out the design. I put some 3-D foam under the knot of the tie and bent the knot around it for some added dimension. A brad for a tie tac, and it's done!
