April Stamp of the Month Art #2

Art by Tina Dupin
Lots of texture on this card! The stripes are made with that fun technique of embossing lines, using a bone folder or embossing tool and your paper trimmer as a guide. Do this on the backside of your cardstock. Then on the front, where the lines are raised, gently sand - and the white core of our beautiful colored cardstock will be exposed. It's like magic!
The dimensional element flower is covered with paper from our Florentine packet, and gently sanded on the edges. Top with a Pin Clip and Baker's Twine, and this card is done!

What Makes You Smile?
You know how sometimes your camera is magically within reach when you see something beautiful? This was one of those times. The view is through my kitchen window, and the feeder hangs on our deck. I love the silhouette of the hummingbird . . . so still. This is one of the pictures I have put in "My Happy Book" - a little album chock full of photos that simply make me smile. They're not in any order . . . they don't have any specific theme, other than the fact that they bring a smile to my face and nourishment to my soul.
Would you like to make your own "My Happy Book"? Contact me, and we can set up a class for you and your friends. Just bring photos that make you smile, and I'll bring the rest!

March Stamp of the Month Art #8
One more card done with our Roxie papers, this time a nice square 4 x 4 (Leslie Ann's favorite card size!) Did you know you can get 4 cards this size out of one 12 x 12 piece of paper? It's a wonderfully efficient size.
