Burlap Bags

photo

Art by Beth Naumann

"I thought I'd share my final product (burlap bag project). Best part is, I brought them into the family room and my 7th grader (who will be giving them to his teachers tomorrow) said, "Hey! Those are really cool! Thanks mom!"

Why Switch?

After 22 years with Close To My Heart, I can honestly say I have grown to love this company more and more every year. Close To My Heart VALUES their Consultants, gives their customers JUST what they need and want before they even know they need it! The corporate staff is just tremendous. I've had the honor of being on the Advisory Board twice over the years and can honestly say, from personal experience, that Jeanette Lynton (founder and CEO) and her Executive Team are people of great integrity.

If you are interested in learning more, please email me: juliespapercrafts@yahoo.com. I'd love to hear your questions and share more with you. It's a GREAT time to join us.

November Stamp of the Month Art # 5

Art by Shannon Law

It's a little hard to see in my photo, but a blue opaque dot is added to the top of this lantern, which is a great look!  The glow of the lantern is created using a piecing technique: Stamp the lantern in Outdoor Denim, on the Daisy cardstock.  Then on a piece of Honey cardstock, do the same thing, and cut out the globe.  Then glue this globe on top of the original image stamped on the Daisy cardstock.  Doesn't the BT paper from this Tommy paper pack work great for the background here, as its color echos the glow of the lantern?

November Stamp of the Month Art # 4

Art by Tina Dupin

This hanging lantern is lifted with 3D Foam Tape, adding dimension to the focal point.  The polkadot background of "Babycakes" paper has a repeated motif, in the little bitty sparkles that are sprinkled here and there.

The overlay here is cut from our Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  Doesn't it give the perfect impression of light beaming through the darkness?

November Stamp of the Month Art # 2

Art by Debi Gardner

Laughing Lola Papers are the background for this card.  Something I really love about this set is the different "glow" images that are provided.  Stamped in yellow here, they really brighten these garden-style lanterns.

November Stamp of the Month Art # 1

Art by Julie Reynolds

The word "light" brings so many different ideas to mind, and this stamp set gives us the opportunity to address some very special things.  Light . . . that something in a person that emanates from within.  Light . . . what it does to your life when someone special is in it.  Light . . . what faith brings to a life.

This card is a reminder to someone that their life serves as a beacon.  They "hang their lantern on a cord" to lead others toward better things.

Natural hemp is run through a hole punched in the lantern top, and a bitty sparkle is added for the flame.
